Reflex locomotion by Vojta
The reflex locomotion method is a set of exercise techniques used to treat physical and mental disorders.
The basic principle is the fact that innate movement patterns are genetically encoded in the human CNS. Based on studies of treatment of children with DMO, specific points have been identified, through which the body can be stimulated to certain innate movements, mainly by pressure on the relevant spots. Apart from spontaneous physical activity, it conduces to activation of the diaphragm and abdominal wall muscles, regular deep breathing, adjustment of heart rate, stimulation of nerve centers and improvement of mental activity.
