Principles and course of therapy

Based on a detailed evaluation and analysis of the child's physical behavior, the therapist, in cooperation with the parent, determines the therapeutic plan and goal that should be achieved. The child's own activity is employed, which the therapist only modifies with his guidance and allows the child to experience normal movement using specific techniques. Above all, these techniques are intended to optimize the patient's muscular tension and enable the child to move as economically as possible, without undue effort and pathological compensatory patterns. The therapist does not perform movement for the child, the therapy only offers him the opportunity to gain a new sensorimotor experience and thus learn additional movement skill. We always focus first on what the child can do on his own, and we try to use that in therapy.

The therapy is functionally (practically) bas    ed, focused on physical activities that occur in everyday life. The goal of therapy is not only to achieve or improve certain movement patterns, the goal of therapy is a greater and better participation of the child in the activities of everyday life.
